Allowing God in the hard places of your life can be difficult but, it can be done and it is needful. It really boils down to a matter of trusting God to be a deliverer.

I had been emotionally hurt, the pain cut so deeply until I was determined to not let that kind of pain come my way again so I built up a wall. I thought that this wall was protecting me from the possibility of future attacks but, instead it was keeping me captive to my pain.

Yes, I wanted God to heal my wounds but, I was reluctant for Him to remove the walls that I had set up because I had used them to shield me for so long. It really was false protection because it was setting up an entirely different set of problems that I didn’t clearly see. That kind of false protection will keep you glued to the problem when Jesus came to set us free!

God with His genuine love, compassion, grace, mercy, infinite wisdom, and divine counsel directed His light to shine on my place of darkness. He extended His powerful hand and beckoned me to come out of the darkness and into His marvelous light and experience the good life far away from the things that tried to permanently steal my freedom.

When I took the time to look back and examine that dark place in my life I realized that the enemy had blown it out of proportion and made it appear much bigger than it really was.  I thank God for bringing His all consuming light into a place of darkness that tried to disable me for the rest of my life. I am truly a witness of “who the son sets free is free is free indeed.”

Please allow God into the hard places in your life. He is the only One who has the answers to every problem. He loves you unconditionally and wants you to enjoy His abundant life

Reflections

  1. Take some time to examine your life.  Are you holding on to any areas of pain?

  1. If you answered yes, make a commitment to turn that pain over to God. Sincerely ask Him to bring healing and deliverance in your life?

  1. Be totally honest with God even if you are disappointed, angry, or hurt about the way He handled something. This is not a disrespectful conversation with God but, a cleansing of the heart. It’s releasing your burden, telling Him how you feel, knowing that He has the correct answers, and expecting His love, light, and peace to permeate place of pain?
