3 Things You Must Do While Pursuing Your Passion

There are 3 things you must do while pursuing your passion. So what exactly is passion?  The Miriam Webster Dictionary defines passion as a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about something.

What are you passionate about?  Is there something that evokes a strong sense of excitement in you when you think about it?  Or perhaps you get really angry when you hear of a certain injustice.  If so, what is that injustice?

Often times putting action to the things that you’re passionate about can actually be the answer to someone else’s prayers.  For example, you may be passionate about providing haircuts for people who are homebound.  Simultaneously, someone who is homebound could be praying for someone who would come to their home and cut their hair.

Below are three things that will help you stay grounded while pursuing your passion.

Have The Heart Of God

Our greatest desire in life should be to please God.  One of the best ways to do this is to love what He loves and hate what He hates.  Therefore, it is imperative that whatever you’re passionate about lines up with the word of God.  It must be aligned with His will and way of doing things.

Refuse To Let Your Passion Die

Take time to pursue and acquire more knowledge about your passion. Even if it’s 20min. per/day, just make sure that it’s something measurable so that you can review your week and see the progress you’ve made in following your passion.

Remember The Value

Consider it an honor and privilege that the passion you carry has the power to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Go forth and be great in the Spirit of the Lord!  You will bring glory to God, help others, and be empowered to do even more for God.
