Unscathed

Unscathed

Unscathed is a powerful word that God whispered in my spirit one night. The word means completely without harm or injury.

When you get a chance, take some time to read the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in chapter 3 of the book of Daniel. King Nebuchadnezzar had ordered that they would be bound and put into a fiery furnace that was seven times hotter than usual. By all natural logic they should have been burned beyond recognition

But because the Lord was with them They were not consumed!!!

Have you ever been in a situation where you should have had a traumatic outcome? Logically looking at the circumstances you should not have survived but because the supernatural power of God was with you, you came out unscathed… completely without harm or injury.

If you’ve ever experienced this you have powerful and undeniable praise ingrained in your heart forever. So, whenever things look impossible just draw from the miracle of God allowing you to be unscathed. Never forget the times when the enemy came after you with a devastating blow and your Heavenly Father stepped in with a miraculous ending for you! He is sovereign! Nothing is ever too hard for Him!

In your own unique way give the Lord special praise from your heart right now for His miraculous hand in your life.

Prayer

Dear Lord,

Thank You for being my Heavenly Father and for having the ability to make me come out of the most difficult situations unscathed.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen

A Merry Heart – The Good Medicine

A Merry Heart – The Good Medicine

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

~Proverbs 17:22

Isn’t it a blessing that your Heavenly Father wants you to have a merry heart? He recognizes what happens when you’re feeling sad, depressed, or wounded. His word even says that brokenness can hurt so badly until the effects of it can be felt physically. But to God be the glory, there is a flip side to being broken in spirit and that is having a merry heart. Take a look at some of the words that describe the word merry:

Jolly, cheerful, festive, glad, gleeful, happy, joyful, sunny, cheery, laughing,

light-hearted, high-spirited, and lively

Write down 3 things that make you laugh or bring joy to your heart. It could be a particular tv show, doing a kind act for someone, singing unto the Lord, or listening to children laugh. The list is endless.

A few of my favorite things that make me laugh are going on YouTube and looking at Family Feud’s funniest clips or listening to clean comedians. Remember, laughter is good for you. The Bible says so. Choose to welcome laughter and joy consistently in your life; you’ll feel better mentally, physically, and even receive the strength of the Lord.

… for the joy of the Lord is your strength.   ~ Nehemiah 8:10

The Greatness of His Love

The Greatness of His Love

The love that our Heavenly Father has for us is so great!  When you actually take the time to think about it, there is nothing that compares to the greatness of His love.  In fact, most of us the greatness of his love we can’t really grasp the totality of it because it is much too large for our human frames, so at best, we must receive it by faith.  We must allow His love to erase our biggest fears and tear down any strongholds.  One of the ways that we do this is by trusting the fact that He is the wise, true, omnipotent, compassionate God and so much more!

Trust that He’s far greater than any fear we can ever face.  He’s even with us while we’re experiencing the fear, but ultimately He wants us to turn it over to Him because He loves us so much and wants us to live totally free and not be tormented by fear.  He wants His children to be free from things that keep us bound and He wants us to realize that He is our complete source of strength and freedom because of His great love for us.  He is motivated by love because He is love!

He is the absolute best counselor.  All of our answers are found in Him.  There are times when we may need an actual human being to share our thoughts and feelings with, but even then, His wisdom will direct us to the right person.

This could potentially be a neverending blog because God’s love never ends.  On a daily basis, we have access to a continual flow of His love.  We have so much to be grateful for.

Reflections

  • What is it about God’s love that makes you most grateful?
  • God has given gifts, talents, and abilities to all of His children. How can you use what you have to express your love for Him?
  • Reflect on a time when you felt His love the most.

It is our goal to bring you anointed words and services that inspire, encourage, and foster a closer relationship with the Lord. We thank God for you and want you to know that you’re always welcome at The Angelic Pen, “Where the words of heaven flow from God’s Heart to your spirit.”  Kimberly Smith
